I am so far really enjoying the course. Information is really well presented and tests a great recap to information covered. I also think the Notes tool is a good addition, however, the saving seems a little unstable so I have lost notes on a couple of the modules.

I figured that I needed to save prior to taking the test, but had selected a picture and as there was no close option, I clicked back and lost the notes I had taken. Apart from that, I am really enjoying the format and am finding the information easy to retain.

This course is absolutely brilliant for someone like me that has a busy working life – the modules are chunked into bite sized pieces and are really simple and straightforward to use.

It is easy to dip in and out of and pick up from where you left off – I was certainly glad I chose to pick all 3 levels – I am quite competent with Excel but I have also picked up new pieces of information from the beginners’ modules as well as really developing my skills with the more advanced information.

It has also meant I have had a really good refresh with parts of Excel that I haven’t used for a long time. I advise anyone who is considering skipping straight to the Intermediate or Advanced courses to go for this option – it really has proved excellent value for money!

An excellent course with up to date thinking based on good research about canine behaviours. I particularly liked the style of teaching. Suitable for all levels and had just the right touch.

I found it stimulating, encouraging and above all, not patronising. It will be very helpful to me on my road as an animal Reiki therapist working with a wide variety of breeds in a rescue centre. I am now much more aware of calming signals and subtle signals that the dog is ready to accept contact.

This course thoroughly improved my knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. I found the modules on meetings, appointments and tasks the most informative. I’m sure these will all have a direct impact on my day to day working life.

If you do not already have a basic understanding of Outlook then the first few modules in particular will be very helpful to you as they cover the fundamentals extremely well.
There is also more advanced options for those who are at that level.

I undertook the Data Protection Certificate course in May 2017. I found the course to have a very in depth amount of detail on Data Protection and the law and legislation around it. It also went into detail on the new Data Protection Act coming in 2018.

I found the course extremely interesting and informative, especially for parents with children who have ADHD or people who work with children with the condition. It has changed my perspective on the condition a lot. I have therefore recommended this course to others.

An enjoyable and informative course, with clear, digestible amounts of information. The worksheets help with understanding and remembering everything, and the whole course is well presented and easy to follow.

Being an online course it allowed me to work at my own pace, and with simple instructions to navigate through the modules, back tracking and repeating ones if I felt I needed too. I was also able to download and print off documents of information for my own files, so if I need to refer back to them I can.

Whilst doing an internship in an Estate Agency, I decided to study the Estate Agent Diploma to gain a better understanding of the regulations and the best ways to go about visits and building my network. I found the course to be very comprehensive and easy to follow.

I’d recommend this to anyone looking to broaden their knowledge of the field of Estate Agency. I found the time estimates to be right if you are simply reading, but I took several pages of notes and so took longer, as I wanted to really understand what I was reading.

I have a BA in Creative Writing, and I learned a lot from this course on the specifics of writing fantasy. With interesting subject matter and a worksheets that you can adapt for future writing, this course was absolutely worth the investment. I am 3/4 the way through my Legal Secretary Diploma Course, I have studied full time and it has taken me about a week (few hours per day) Very informative course which makes you memorise each module well, with worksheets at the end of each module. Gave a brilliant knowledge base into the different areas of Law and the secretaries roles within them. I have never done an online course before as thought they were not very credible, but this they are good providing you are willing to put the work in, all the information is provided for you , you just need to use it. Thoroughly recommend to anyone who has some spare time and wants to expand their legal knowledge - this course is not just for legal secretaries!!

This is because my learning styles are predominantly read/write and/or kinaesthetic so being in a classroom listening to teachers is often mind numbing and other students tend to hold me back. This course was great for allowing me to work through at my own pace.

Having just completed the Dyslexia Diploma in a few days I can honestly say I now have a much better knowledge of the condition and it gave me so much detail and information to learn in order to use in my teaching job. Very clear and easy to follow with great assessments at the end of each module. Also the multiple choice exam covered all of the important points I had learnt. Highly recommend this diploma. The fact I could study this online in my own time was a huge positive. I look forward to further study more diplomas related.

I have always had an interest in property and estate management. I was unsure how to get my career started in this field without any experience or qualifications in that area. Would recommend the course to anyone! Considering estate agency as a career gives a clear insight into the role and regulation and was easy to digest. I was able to easily fit this in with my busy work schedule. I was able to complete this course in less than a month which I originally expected to take a lot longer. I really enjoyed taking time to complete this Floristry diploma course online. I have been flower arranging for a few years now and wanted to improve my knowledge and skills. The course was very detailed and the assignments were good, some very creative, I found the history very interesting and how the different periods used flowers for decoration. I am really interested in wedding flower design modules fourteen and fifteen were of particular interest to me. I also found the starting your own business section very helpful. I would definitely recommend for anyone interested in Floristry to take the course.

Great course. Easily readable online, no jargon and had up to date information and illustrations as well as the sources that were used within the modules. Most modules had an assessment at the end where you could check your own knowledge - this was a great add on to ensure you are up to speed. The exam was easily laid out great with no tricky to read questions. I can honestly say that I have truly enjoyed learning about Microsoft Excel.
The step by step modules (36 of them!), breaking down each part of Excel was easy to understand and absorb. The explanations of each stage was handy for notes as well. The videos were helpful for directions and practise. The worksheets were helpful to put learning into action.
The test at the end was very good in covering many aspects of Excel, however I would have liked to know what I did not get correct. This would have been helpful.
However, I would gladly use a New Skills Academy course again.

I am considering a career change, so this seemed a good place to start. The course was comprehensive, for the price and easy to follow. The videos were also really helpful, to help put the information into context. The instructor was very down to earth and easy to follow.

It is helpful to be able to print out the course notes, to refer to at a later date. I will also re-watch the videos when I need to.

The test at the end was multiple choice. There may have been information relating to this on the website, but I didn't find it. The questions were very specific, so you do need to have revised before you take the test.

All in all, I am impressed, for the £40 I spent.

Wow, a really helpful course, and a great way to get a portfolio of 'faces' that will enhance my repertoire. I wanted a qualification to back up the practical experience I had gained in my last job. This short course about dyslexia is well worth the money. I am a fully qualified dyslexia specialist who teaches full time. I saw this course and thought it would be a good idea to ensure my knowledge and strategies were current. This course is thorough, packed with facts and useful interventions and is easily manageable. It fulfils its brief and would be extremely useful to teachers and TAs working in school who wish to increase their knowledge of SpLD and how to support children effectively. The course reinforces prior knowledge and gives food for thought and discussion. The time indicators for each session are reasonably accurate and allow you to plan your studying and feel that the course is manageable around other commitments. There are some points which feel incomplete or slightly simplified but one can always find further literature and articles to extend one's understanding. I recommend this course.

I really enjoyed this course. Was a lot of reading and had to stop and try to take it in.

There were 21 modules, and most of them took 45 minutes to complete, so you need to be in a position, where you actually have the time to do all the tasks that are required. The tasks are mainly to do things by yourself to practise what you have just read, but doing it will help you out so much.

Will be looking for another course, as I enjoyed this so much, definitely worth the price as the certificate is worth more on your cv.

Well structured and easy to follow coursework. My queries were answered promptly and were clearly not stock Q&A responses so I felt I had been given real support.

The test at the end was unexpected as the end of module tests were self marking. As it was a timed test that covered every aspect of the course but in a random way which meant one had to pay attention and read the questions carefully!

After much searching, I stumbled across this online course which sounded perfect for what I wanted and was available at a very affordable cost. This is the first time I have taken an online course, so wasn’t sure what to expect or if my money was going to be well spent.

The course is great, it was very easy to follow with simple, clear instructions and the additional use of video demonstrations that I found extremely helpful. It was handy to be able to print off all the course modules to keep for future reference and nice to receive a certificate upon completion.

I started the HR Management Diploma Level 2 – CPD Certified & IVCAS Accredited in November 2016, and I can say hand on heart it has been the best experience of my life.

Everything I have learnt here, every lesson, has been practical and useful, with real skills that are relevant to the real world, instead of hours of boring theory and history of the subject. Straight away we were learning real web design.

The contents on these classes are awesome! I’m currently an architecture student and was a little worried because is an online course and sometimes it leaves doubts or some subjects are not well debated, but I learned so much, it also improved my landscaping knowledge, its satisfying.

I took it up in myself to take this course as I am wanting to get on the personal trainer business. I found this course to be really insightful and beneficial.

As a teacher I have experienced working with children with a range of learning and physical abilities. This course helped consolidate my knowledge and understanding gained during my 12 years of teaching and working with SEN children. I’m a property investor and I have an interest in property generally. I wanted to do this course to broaden my knowledge of property but also make sure I understand my rights as a buyer of property. This is a nice introduction to the profession of Estate Agency but also negotiation and building networks. It includes material on both residential and commercial property, and also property maintenance. It touches upon the Estate Agents Act 1979 which is very important. My next step will be to review the act. It is a very broad course and is a good place to start.

Thanks to this course I can take my career in a new and improved direction. After sustaining injuries where I have to be wheelchair bound I thought career prospects were slim. But now I have qualified I have hope again.

This course is amazingly well structured in such a way that it enabled me to memorise everything and in my own time, and explained in terms everyone could understand, the modules were short and to the point with very little un-needed information and at a great price too!

Online support staff were amazing they couldn't help enough. Messages were sent within 20 minutes and were extremely accurate. The final exam was easy and gave me plenty of time to complete with 30 questions and 30 minutes to answer (although only 10 minutes were needed) after ordering my certificate it was delivered within 48 hours. It looks amazing and the quality is great too.

I personally loved this course because I'm planning my own wedding for 2018 but wanted to know so much more about the topic. I found out so much more than my own personal knowledge and walked away feeling much more confident with small details I would have never even thought about.

This course is very comprehensive. It is packed full of very helpful information to aid the Teaching assistant to use his or her skills and knowledge to the full.

If this course is being taken by those who have no knowledge of being a TA, then in my honest opinion they would certainly know about the role when they finish.

I do like the online tests at the end. It does make you think and definitely reinforces what material has just been read. It is also an incentive when seeing a 'grade' to realise how much has been taken in thus encouraging enthusiasm to proceed to the next module.

I found this course most interesting. Having been a Receptionist in various industries over the years, and learning more at each location, this course helped focus my thoughts 'back to basics' and made me rethink some of the things I'd learnt. Very helpful, very concise, informative and uncomplicated.

It also gave great insights into the different kind of Reception work which can be so varied. I have been put forward for a Doctors Receptionist vacancy, a 'trade' I haven't ventured into yet, and will take what I have learnt from the course to the interview and hopefully it will stand me in good stead.

I started this course so I could learn about payroll as I am interested in hopefully securing future employment within this area.

I was a little sceptical about doing an online course as thought it wouldn't be very in depth, but how wrong I was!

Very thorough and covered everything yo could possibly need. I trained many years ago and wanted a refresh and this was perfect and enabled me to get my insurance and feel confident being back in the Beauty Industry.

I was bought this Nail course as a birthday present and it has really inspired me as I have always had a passion for Nail design.

This course was well structured, clear, and easy to follow. It ran smoothly and I knew exactly how long I was expected to work on each module.

I learnt all about the business side to the salon as well as physical skills and it was easy to do the exams and get my certificate. I would thoroughly recommend this course or similar ones to other people as it was so flexible and I can now take my new skills straight into the working world.

This was a brilliant course that was easy to understand and fits into your lifestyle by being able to access at times that suits you. I needed a refresher course and this ticked all the boxes. One area which I was not aware of was the Employment Allowance Incentive but I now understand this fully. It is also good information on record keeping along with Data Protection. To be honest I was sceptical at first. There are many online courses to choose from but what intrigued me the most about this course is the number of modules (22 of them). This appeared to be more detailed than others. The reason I took this course is because I started a new role as a support tutor for a large training company. I already had some experience in working with learners who had special needs and learning difficulties but wanted more in-depth knowledge and tips to support my delivery. I also wanted to know more on the legal of side of SEN too. The course was offered at a large discount that did give me concerns! But I took the plunge and have been pleasantly surprised on how well it's been written and presented in manageable bite-size chunks. I was planning to study about a couple of hours a night but once I started I found it difficult to stop. It took me about 3 days to complete. The information is comprehensive but manageable. You can tell the person/persons who wrote this have a passion for supported learning and give practical strategies to support SEN and care about their sector and want to share their passion. Highly recommended study material. 🙂

Brilliant course. As a busy ,working mum this course gave a chance to change my career but it also gave me a chance to study in my own free time. Very easy wording, education videos, important information you can't find online. The brilliant thing is that even after finishing the course you still can go back to your modules and view the videos again. The help from assistants is great. The minute I contacted them with question they always responded very quickly and professionally.

I found this course very useful. It covers the all categories of cleaning and goes in to great detail without being overwhelming. Its a clean and easy to use step by step interface that glides you through the modules. If you want to take more time and revise in your own time without access to the internet, the PDF viewer and print functions are a great feature. Really friendly, easy to use programme.
We used this system to train people who use our day centre. They sat the exam and those that passed received their certificates which they loved. We then published this on peoples CV's to help them find work.
